  Biggest dissapointment was to find an additional charge of 30 euro's for them filling up your car with gas so that you can return it without filing up the tank which is obligatory. Would have been more than happy to do it myself considering the charge of 30euro's!

  Dissatisfied we returned to the customer desk and raised a complaint, to which we were told they couldn't give us any other vehicle as they didn't have any others in the category. A free upgrade was not an option, we would have to pay the upgrade fee or take this car.

  Car itself was fine apart for the tire-pressure indication signal lamp which was on when I picked-up the car. Would expect the person checking-in the vehicle to look after any indication lamps and remedy it.

  Long story short, lesson learned and next time will spend slightly more money to get a proffesional service from a rental agency which takes it's customers serious and does not resort to tricks to make their expected returns.

  If you can suggest to steer clear of Inter-Rent and pay an additional 10 bucks per day and book with one of the 'regular' car rental companies found on Las Palmas airport. They are really pushy in getting you to accept / buy an additional insurance even after you have show them your additional coverage, claiming you are at risk some other way. Don't let them scare you into buying their insurance at 20 a day.

  Arrived at the desk and was initially pleased to find no queue of customers, however, this joy was short lived as almost immediately the up selling began!! First came the larger car options, followed by the excess reduction, the breakdown assistance and to cap it off, a discounted option to clean the car as you will be charged a fee of between 20 & 200 Euros if you return it carrying any dirt at all!

  I will not rent a car here ever again. They seem to be instructed to get extra money off you in any way possible. And they do it with a smile! Great!

  BEWARE OF CHEATERS!! Cheaters and liars! By the time we got to the office they rented my car out and given the other for double price and insurance! When we called the support the guy in the office lied them .There weren't other options,so we had to pay triple price!

  Having reluctantly settled on the charge of €5.63, a reduced fee to cover the cleaning of the vehicle once returned we headed out to the carpark where we discovered a rather battered and not very clean car! This car doesn't have a panel without damage, only the largest of which I have posted photos of but every panel has a scrape or scuff of some kind.

  Service was slow at picking up - when I arrived they were serving 2 customers and 1 in queue and I waited 20min before being served. Beware of the "cleaning charge" not on the website when booking. I didn't want to be penalised €20 for leaving a finger print so I agreed to an extra €5 cleaning fee. Found the car with quite a few scraps and chips not marked on the contract. I took a lot of pictures but they didn't give me any trouble after returning the car (so they clearly knew the condition already).

  To summarise, I certainly will never book a car with Interrent again and would recommend other stay away!!

  It works, just, but on the the drive to our accommodation I've already had to change a headlight bulb!
